Privacy & choices
Cookies, without the fine print.
We use only what the website needs to work and, with your permission, Google Analytics to understand how people use our pages.

What is stored
Two clear categories.
Optional analytics stays completely disabled until you accept it. Rejecting analytics does not limit any website functionality.
Strictly necessary
site-locale remembers your chosen language for up to 12 months. Your analytics choice is stored locally in the browser as nerds-lab-analytics-consent-v1, without automatic expiry, so we do not ask the same question on every visit.
Optional analytics
After acceptance, Google Analytics may create the first-party cookies _ga, to distinguish visitors, and _ga_<measurement-id>, to preserve session state. Their default lifetime is up to 2 years and may be limited by the browser.
Google Analytics 4
Measurement only after consent.
We use basic consent mode: before acceptance, the Google tag is not loaded and no analytics request is sent to Google.
Why we use it
For aggregate information such as which pages people visit, the general source that brought them here, and whether the experience works well across different devices.
Who is responsible
Nerd’s Lab is responsible for this website. For privacy questions, contact hello@nerds-lab.com. Google provides the Analytics service under its own terms and policies.
How to change your mind
Open “Analytics settings” in the footer. If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics stops loading on subsequent views and, where technically possible, first-party _ga cookies are removed from the browser.
Common questions
The choice remains yours.
This policy describes the current nerds-lab.com implementation and is updated whenever services or processing purposes change.
What happens if I choose “No analytics”?
The website works normally. Google Analytics is not loaded and our implementation does not create the optional _ga cookies.
How do I withdraw consent?
Choose “Analytics settings” in the footer and then “No analytics”. You can also delete cookies and site data through your browser settings.
Where can I learn more about Google?
Google publishes information about GA4 cookies and data protection in the official Google Analytics documentation.
Will other tracking tools be added?
Not without updating this policy and the consent mechanism. Any new optional category or provider will remain inactive until you make the corresponding choice.
